Since 2004, MUSEION has gained extensive experience in conducting archeological investigations (Legislative Decree 50/2016, art.25) aimed at assessing archaeological risks in public and private construction works. The analysis - supported by our large internal library - involves numerous activities: from cartographic geo-referencing, to geomorphological studies, from bibliographic and archival research, to reading and interpretation of aerial photography, up to surface surveys. To reach our goal we use the most advanced field detection technologies (total station, GPS, drone ...), which allow us to create detailed thematic maps and archaeological risk maps. Technology and experience allow us to evaluate archaeological risk quickly and efficiently and the consequent impact on a project. The result is a more effective workplan and consequently a saving on execution costs. In the event of archaeological finds, we can perform preliminary and emergency archaeological excavations, with specialized workers and detectors led by expert archaeologists, because we are SOA certified company in OS 25 category (archaeological excavations). In addition, our company makes available to its clients - in all cases where the competent authorities requires the presence of an archaeologist on site - its experience for archaeological assistance and surveillance during earthmoving, combining the essential needs for protection and documentation of the archaeological finds with the need to quickly carry out the work and reducing the costs for companies.
